Expect a superb performance from Vick against Ravens...

"It happened because it happened," he said. "There's nothing you can change about it. There are plenty of throws that I wish I would have had back and that I wish I would have pulled down and maybe checked it down or ran with it. It's options."

"I'm the one who lived it," he said, "and everyone else watched it from afar and is just speculating about it and what they think. That's just perception and people going off of what they see. I'm the one who has to deal with it and go out there and make it right.

"This is a game that I love, and every game is not going to be easy. Every game is not going to be what everybody thinks, and sometimes it might not be easy on the eyes." Sunday's game was not easy on any of the senses. But Vick claims he's ready for next week already.

"I shook off the rust last week and I'm ready to get back out against Baltimore," he said. "The thing that I can tell you is that we will progress and get better as the season goes on."

WHAT THE RAVENS EXPECT TO DO ON DEFENSE...

I caught a WBAL Radio interview between former NFL linebacker Stan White and current Defensive Coordinator for the Ravens, Dean Pees..

Pees pretty much gave away his game plan vs. Vick's offense---

"We plan to show Vick some 'Spy' looks and yet also bring 4 or 5 against him on alternating downs... We don't want him to get comfortable with a consistent approach... We want him to be guessing what's coming next...and he will be wondering when that picket fence is coming next..."

More from Pees: "We respect Shady McCoy's cutback ability...so this will be a big test for the slimmed-down version of Ray Lewis to cover up on McCoy's ability to turn a simple running play into a big gain. Ray Lewis will be patrolling sideline to sideline, and is definitely focused on McCoy..."

Nice inside stuff from Pees there... and nothing the Eagles don't already know.

Meanwhile, Andy Reid is going in the opposite direction--- no more inside info to the media...

For the first time since becoming the Eagles' head coach in 1999, Andy Reid has decided to close all practices to the media this season. Media will be permitted only to watch the first 10 minutes of the workout, the part where the players stretch and warm up. In previous seasons, reporters were allow to see the entire practice on Thursdays and Fridays.

Reid explained Thursday that he was doing it to prevent opponents from picking up tips through Twitter and other social media outlets. According to the coach, the Eagles are now among 28 teams that hold closed practices during the season. "My number one priority here is to win football games and put the best product on the field," Reid said during a meeting with reporters Thursday. "Just to minimize any of the competitive advantages that take place, I want to do this.

"It's changed over time, between Twitter and just the whole instant messaging, everything is right now. I just want to make sure I’m staying up with that."

Wide receivers DeSean Jackson (strained hamstring) and Jeremy Maclin (hip pointer) did not practice Thursday. Jackson is expected to play against the Ravens. Safety/Special Teams coverage ace Colt Anderson is cleared to play and ready to go...
