Eagles at Seattle Livefyre Game Gallery with open bar...
Written by Thomas Jackson on .
Open bar tonight courtesy of the smartest Phans in the Philly blogosphere... Thursday Night Football, December 1, 2011, 8:20 PM EST, the NFL Network and/or local feed TV...

The Eagles (4-7) were supposed to have the best defense in the NFL this season but as it sits right now, they are simply average. They are 16th against the pass (234.36 yards allowed per game) and 15th against the run (110.27 yards allowed per game). The Eagles are in the bottom third of the NFL in points allowed (21.22 points per game).
The Seattle Seahawks (4-7) were one quarter away from their third straight victory last week before a meltdown against the Redskins resulted in a heartbreaking loss. The Hawks played well but gave up 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Yes, they were one quarter away from three straight wins! Seattle is showing some signs of promise however on both sides of the ball.
Marshawn Lynch had 111 yards on the ground and he added a 20-yard touchdown reception in last week’s loss. Lynch now has three 100+ yard games in his last four and he has scored a touchdown in seven straight.
Seattle’s defense will have its hands full tonight... But their strength matches up well with Philadelphia’s offense. Seattle’s run defense is 11th in the NFL – a good sign against an Eagles team that promises to feed LeSean McCoy. The pass defense is 21st and will be in charge of limiting, not stopping Vince Young’s effectiveness.
Seattle is a very good home team and they are headed in the right direction... Let's hope we can say the same for the Eagles ASAP ...
Oh dear my SiTD seems to be rather close again!!!
"Now to the Birds (US style) I am in a quandry ...... Whilst it is mathimatically possible still to get to the play-offs in mind that chance has now gone .....Now do I root for meaningless wins (except for morale) or do I want us to Suck For........ Well not for luck but a nice juicy top ten pick in the draft ........ (Still want to Smarsh the Cowturds though and the Deadskins ...... will 6-10 get that top ten pick?)
Decisions decisions!!!!!!! BTW SiTD .......Not confident about tonight ..Seattle 31 Eagles 17 ...... Vince Young with 3 picks ... Turnover battle is an ugly -4"
Hey I was being optimistic .... My Birds are even worse than my pessimism!!!! ARSE.....
@Tom Jackson I wish it wasn't though.............. I think it might really be the end of Reid ........... Feel really bad for Colt ..... And what happened to Nnamdi ........ Why rush him back!!
I don't know the score......... but having read the last couple of posts I take it we lost again ........ Hmmmmmmm ...... Oh dear the knives will be out again!!!
Lupes, I won't blame you if you don't want to wast the energy on writing another article on our crappy team for a couple of days....or for the rest of the season...
My new avi sums up everything,...been holding on to it for a few weeks now waiting to see if the Eagles were actually going to fight to survive, or pretty much give up and play dead... Welp, question answered!
oh, one last thing - i thought it was highly shitty of coach pete carol to throw an attempted td strike on4th and 1 within the dying minutes of the game. that's a no-no among coaches and a douche of a move. may karma strike your ugly ass team down in the coming weeks......
Knuckleheads,....fear not,..and tread proudly wiff a big stick. We were one year away from glory,..mucked up by the strike and the intangible presence of venom from virulent snake bite. Has there ever been a better example in the history of the NFL on EARF? The next few games we must rid this bad karma from our underarmour. Some suggestions to follow in due time,...and comeuppance to the abject detractors that certainly will test our meddle and resolve until season's end. Nite ladies,....I shall retire to my personal retreat,..where the boogeyman knows not to entreat.
hoser wont be like all the predictable and angry eagles fans calling into their local talk radio stations. no.....
instead, i will reserve judgement and recommendations until after the season is done .
i think being a fan of this team for 31 years now gives me the right.....
goodnight to all.
Can't get over how much VY looked like McDoughnut in that presser.........same bald head he has now, same head bob as he talks, even licks his lips like McNabb...........same monotone voice. Are you sure the Vikes did not waive him, and Big Red stuck him in a VY Jersey tonight?
@dutchrubb dude - big diff between young and mcnabb. same completion percentage perhaps, but mcnabb would have had zero ints and 4x the rushing yards even at 34 years old.......
Back when he played for us....yes, I would agree......not so sure anymore, though. I am sure he will end up somewhere. Chicago boy to the Bears?
@dutchrubb i think im in the minorty who think that donovan could still lead a team to a playoff win or two. it has to be the right fit of course but i still think #5 has better qb skills than at least 8-10 of the starting signall callers in this league. i'm not saying he's the same qb as he was in that magical 2004 season......but i am saying that he's not washed up as the redskins claimed he was during and after the 2010 season.
When I think of our Canadian brothers and sisters who counted on this team to deliver for them... I feel ashamed.
@Tom Jackson slurpy - i went through the '7 stages of grief' by the bears game. i created 2 new stages since then:
disbelief
-and-
disgust
wait.there could be more coming....
:o(
1 glass of wine, 5 tall cans of molson canadian beer, and 3 shots of cabo wabo tequila.......
and i feel sober as that game scared me straight....!
Absolutely!!!! Haha, Chris was at the party the whole time! And I can relate to being scared straight!
tough night. i told you a few hours ago i was afraid this game would be a repeat of vikes/eagles from last decemeber. yuck. our team is in shambles. but this will lead to the team being fixed - if not immeciately, then after the season. changes are coming.
the bizarre thing is that this team is so close offensively, and realistically could be 7-3 or 8-3 right now. but sadly, we arent, and the little things cost this team its season from early on (game 2 in atlanta onward).
So true Hoser.........so close, yet so far away. Oh........what could have been. I really think the O has the players, but keeps mucking up. The D is incredibly broke at this point.
Well ieGK......hope you get a good nights sleep. Your gonna need it to throw all those Bocce Balls tomorrow.
Bri's got a better arm than VY... so at least those Bocce Balls will not be intercepted...
Yay Bri!!! still strolling that late-night walk on the Wall... someday (and that day etc...) Bri's vigil of honor will be rewarded with a SB victory...
What's right? Howw about talk to him and acknowledge what's going on?? Desean is pouting every one acknowledges he's being a bitch, irvin and faulk understand that he should have gotten paid so they are taking up for him but really, he's all done in philly. Irvin and faulk are clearly of the opinion that this is phillys fault for not paying him. What goes unsaid is that he more then likely wants top 5 money. Fuckin bitch.
I don't feel like I can sleep, but if I lay my head down I'll probably fall out like Steve Smith just short of a first down. So, goodnight.
-- DeSean blows off the tough media questions, gets flustered, turns his back on the press... very tense.
I named my self after Desean's endzone dance he did a few times "the jerk"....I really wish I hadn't done that... @Tom Jackson
i'm beyond tired. beyond exhausted. and emotionally drained, for various reasons. at least, for a while, i forgot real life.
thank you. sleep tight. go eagles, always.
When you're down you see who the fighters are. Nnamdi, after all that was said about him, fought in every game. He played hurt the last two weeks. I'm glad he'll be here as we pull things together. I think he's going to be good for us.
Get rid of desean ... and while you're at it find a big receiver who actually goes and gets the ball. Cooper is not it. On the bright side, JB will save a lot of money on lotion.
